Moon, what Moon?

Saturday night we were at a neighborhood party and someone mentioned the beautiful moon. I was feeling tired and ready for bed, but of course, the prospect of capturing a cool photo got me energized and I headed home for my camera and tripod. I strapped on my backpack and wandered out to the road to get beyond the trees to capture a decent shot. I played around with different exposure times, but this is my favorite - it is the result of a 4 second exposure at 271mm. I will definitely be heading out into the dark again in search of more nighttime shots.
